About the breed
Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. They come from the cold northeastern United States, which explains the thick water-resistant coat, the snowshoe paws, and the enormous tail they wrap around themselves in winter. Despite their size, they are known for being friendly, patient, and surprisingly dog-like: many follow their people from room to room.
A typical day
Breakfast, inspection of the apartment, a long nap in the sunniest spot available, a short burst of chaos around 3 p.m., dinner, and finally supervising whatever the humans are doing on their computers.
